Petriella
Phonetic: Pee-tree-el-luh
Petriella is an ascomycete that has been isolated from dung and fungicide treated pinewood. This fungus can degrade cellulose. Petriella is the telemorph of Graphium and Scedosporium. Petriella is also considered to be a synonym of or closely related to the genus Microascus. Culture – Potato dextrose agar or Malt extract agar, 20° – 25°C, 7 – 10 days.
