Phonetic: Rye-no-trick-um
This species lacks a known sexual state and therefore belongs to the Fungi Imperfecti. It is commonly found on woody materials, such as logs, bark, stumps, hardwood, and rotten or decaying wood. This genus name is considered to be obsolete or Nomen dubium meaning the application of the name is uncertain because of the description of the fungus. Culture - Potato dextrose agar or Malt extract agar, 20° – 25°C, 7 – 10 days.
