Spegazzinia
Phonetic: Speh-gauze-in-ee-uh
Spegazzinia is a widespread mitosporic fungus that lacks a known sexual state and therefore belongs to the Fungi Imperfecti. This saprobe is most commonly found in warm-temperate to tropical areas on soil, dead leaves, stems, trees, and other various kinds of plant debris. Culture - Potato dextrose agar, 20° – 25°C, 7 – 10 days.
